La Importancia del Tiempo

Lucas 10: 38-42

Se cuenta que cuando tres aprendices del diablo estaban por venir a la tierra para cumplir con su periodo de de trabajo aquí, comparecieron ante Satanás para explicarle lo que iban a hacer en la tierra. Uno dijo; “Diré a los hombres que Dios no existe”. “Eso no les hará mella porque ellos saben en el fondo de su corazón que si existe”, respondió Satanás. “Yo les diré”, propuso el segundo, “que no hay infierno”. “Tampoco sirve”, replico Satanás, “porque ellos experimentan en vida el infierno de sus remordimientos”. El tercero agrego; “Yo le diré que no hay prisa, que lo dejen para mañana”. “Formidable”, exclamo Satanás. “Diles eso y se condenaran a millares”.[1]

¿Cuánto tiempo le debemos dar al Señor? La respuesta a esta pregunta es sencilla; Todo nuestro tiempo pertenece al Señor. Cada momento de nuestra existencia existe para mantener una comunicación y pasar tiempo con Dios. Muchas veces Satanás nos presenta su oferta de esperar hasta mañana. Muchas veces esta oferta dice; “levántate y haz lo que tengas que hacer, olvídate de Dios, tu puedes sostenerte por ti mismo”.

María esta sentada a los pies del Maestro y Marta esta trabajando fuerte en la cocina. Marta viene a Jesús y le dice; “Señor no te importa que mi hermana me ha dejado sola para hacer todo el trabajo”. Y Jesús le responde; “Marta, Marta, tan preocupada y molesta estas por muchas cosas, pero solo una cosa es necesaria y María escogió la mejor y no le será quitada”.  Satanás te dice; “déjame hacer un trato contigo, dedícame tu tiempo y yo te voy a mostrar cuanto tiempo te va a sobrar para que puedas hacer lo que te plazca. Nuestra respuesta debe ser; “No Satanás, no hay trato, mi vida pertenece a Dios por tanto, mi tiempo pertenece a El”. Que el Señor te bendiga y te guarde siempre.

The Importance of Time

Luke 10: 38-42

It is said that when the devil's three apprentices were to come to earth to fulfill their period of work here, they appeared before Satan to explain what they would do on earth. One said, " I will say to men that God does not exist”. " That will not make a dent because they know in their heart that He exist" answered Satan. " I'll tell them”, proposed the second, " that there is no hell." " That will not cause any fear either," replied Satan, "because they experience a living hell on their remorse." The third added, " I'll tell them there's no rush, leave it for tomorrow". “Impressive", exclaimed Satan. " Tell them that and condemn thousands".

How much time we should dedicated to the Lord? The answer to this question is simple: All our time belongs to the Lord. Every moment of our existence exists to maintain communication and spending time with God. Many times Satan presents his offer to wait until tomorrow. Many times this offer says, " Get up and do what you have to do, there is no hurry, forget about God, you can do it for yourself."

Mary is seated at the Master's feet and Martha is working very hard in the kitchen. Martha comes to Jesus and says, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.” And Jesus replied, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.” Satan says to us, "let me make you a deal, give me your time and I 'll show you how long you will be left over so you can do what you please. Our response should be, " No Satan, no deal, my life belongs to God therefore my time belongs to Him." May the Lord bless you and keep you always.

Donde esta tu tesoro? Where is your treasure?

Si yo le ofreciera a usted la cantidad de 10 millones de dólares ($10,000,000.00), ¿qué haría usted? En le libro titulado “El día que América dijo la verdad”, los autores del mismo, James Patterson y Peter King revelaron las mas chocantes estadísticas hasta que punto las personas en América están dispuestos a ir por el amor al dinero. Estos son los resultados: 25% Abandonarían a sus familias. 25% Abandonarían la Iglesia. 23% Se convertirían en prostitutas por una semana o mas. 16% Renunciarían a su ciudadanía americana. 16% Abandonarían a sus esposas. 10%No testificarían y dejarían que un asesino fuese puesto en libertad. 7% Asesinarían a un extraño. 3% Pondrían sus hijos en adopción.[1]

Jesús nos dice: “No hagáis tesoros en la tierra donde la polilla y el orín corrompen y donde los ladrones mina, sino haceos tesoros en el cielo donde la polilla y el orín no corrompen y donde ladrones no minan ni hurtan. Porque donde esta tu tesoro, allí también esta tu corazón”. Hay una razón por la cual las personas trabajan hasta morir, ignorando a sus familias y las cosas que son mas importantes en sus vidas. Esta razón es el dinero. Las personas ven el dinero y las cosas que el dinero puede hacer como la solución a todos los problemas. Percibimos la buena vida como una vida de abundancia de cosas grandes y mejores. La Biblia dice mucho acerca del dinero. Por cierto, la Biblia habla mas acerca del dinero que cualquier otro tema. En este pasaje Jesús nos dice que este es un problema del corazón. Es un problema de prioridad y confianza en Dios. Cuando damos a Dios de nuestros tesoro es decir; “Señor estoy poniendo toda mi confianza en ti, porque no es mi tesoro, pertenece a ti”. Cuando damos a Dios es una indicación de donde esta mi corazón y mi relación con El. Dar a Dios es un indicador de cuanto yo confió en El.

¿Dónde esta tu corazón? Estas invirtiendo en tus propias cosas o estamos invirtiendo en las cosas del Señor? Acuérdate lo que Jesús dice; “Donde esta tu tesoro, allí estará tu corazón”.

Where is your heart?

If I offer to you the amount of 10 million dollars ($ 10,000,000.00), what would you do? In their book " The Day America Told the Truth ", James Patterson and Peter King reveal some shocking statistics about how far people in this country are willing to go for the love of money. Here are the results: 25 % would abandon their families. 25 % would leave the Church. 23 % would become prostitutes for a week or more. 16 % would give up their American citizenship. 16 % would abandon their wives. 10% would withhold testimony and let a murderer go free. 7% would murder a stranger. 3 % would put their children up for adoption.

Jesus tells us: " Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. There is a reason why people work to death, ignoring their families and the things that are most important in their lives. This reason is money. People see the money and the things money can do as the solution to all problems. We see the good life as a life of abundance of bigger and better things. The Bible says a lot about money. By the way, the Bible talks more about money than any other subject. In this passage Jesus tells us that this is a heart’s subject. It is a matter of priority and trust in God. When we give God our treasure it is to say: “Lord I am placing all my trust in you, because it is not my treasure, it belongs to you." Given to God is an indication of where my heart and where is my relationship with Him Given to God is an indicator of how much I trust in Him

Where is your heart? You're investing in your own stuff or we are investing in the things of the Lord? Remember what Jesus said, " Where your treasure is , there will your heart."

Que hay en tu mano? What's in your hand?

¿Qué hay en tu mano?

Éxodo 4:1-20

Hoy es el último día del 2013. En unas próximas horas estaremos recibiendo el 2014. Para muchas personas, la lista de resoluciones para el próximo año está completa. Muchos trataran de perder peso. Otros trataran de arreglar sus finanzas. Otros trataran de obtener otros logros. ¿Has pensado que resolución tienes para mejorar tu relación con Dios? ¿Has pensado como puedo envolverme más en las cosas del Señor? Una de las grandes verdades acerca de Dios es que El utiliza personas ordinarias para hacer cosas extraordinarias. En ocasiones nosotros pensamos que no podemos hacer algo en la Iglesia o por el Señor porque no tenemos la preparación o habilidad necesaria para completar el trabajo. Lo cierto es que Dios nos ha dado a cada uno de nosotros por lo menos un talento, y ese talento cuando, es dedicado al Señor, él lo bendice y lo multiplica.

Moisés tenía muchas dudas a cómo responder al llamado del Señor. Moisés ofrece una serie de excusas para rechazar la voluntad de Dios. Sin embargo, Dios responde a cada una de esas excusas. Sin embargo, después de la tercera excusa, Dios simplemente hace una pregunta; “¿Qué tienes en la mano?” Moisés responde; “una vara”.  Para Moisés esa vara no era nada especial. Una simple vara, utilizada para caminar, para defenderse de los animales salvajes, para dirigir las ovejas. Nada especial acerca de esa vara. Pero para Dios, esa vara era algo especial, algo con un potencial ilimitado.

La pregunta que Dios hace para ti en este día es; “¿Qué hay en tu mano?” Quizás sea algún talento sencillo que para ti no significa nada, pero para Dios vale muchísimo. ¿Qué talentos y habilidades tienes tu que el Señor puede utilizar para la expansión de Su reino aquí en la tierra? Recuerda, lo que es ordinario para nosotros, Dios lo puede utilizar de una manera extraordinaria. Solo necesitas entregar esa habilidad o talento a Dios y veras como Él lo utiliza y lo bendice para Su gloria. Recuerda, todo lo que tenemos, pertenece a Él. Que el 2014 sea un año lleno de ricas bendiciones para ti y los tuyos y que el Señor Jesús pueda utilizarte de una manera extraordinaria en la Iglesia donde sirves, en tu comunidad, en tu trabajo o donde quiera, para Su gloria. Que Dios te bendiga y te guarde siempre.

What's in your hand?
Exodus 4:1-20

Today is the last day of 2013. In next few hours we will be receive the New Year, 2014. For many people, the list of resolutions for next year is complete. Many will try to lose weight. Others will try to fix their finances. Others will try to achieve other goals. Have you thought of that resolution on how to improve your relationship with God? Have you thought how can I be more involved on the things of the Lord? One of the great truths about God is that He uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Sometimes we think we cannot do something in the church or for the Lord because we do not have the necessary training or skills to complete the work. The truth is that God has given each one of us at least one talent, and that talent, when it is dedicated to the Lord, he blesses and multiplies
Moses had many doubts about how to respond to God's call. Moses offers a number of excuses to reject the will of God. However, God responded to each of these excuses. Nevertheless, after the third excuse, God simply asks a question, "What’s in your hand?". Moses answered; " a staff “. For Moses that staff was nothing special. A simple shepherd staff, used to walk, to defend against wild animals, to lead the sheep. Nothing special about that staff. But to God, that staff was something special, something with unlimited potential.
The question that God is asking you on this day is; “What’s in your hand?” Perhaps is just a simple talent that means nothing to you, but for God is worth considerably. What talents and abilities do you have that the Lord can utilize to expand His kingdom here on earth? Remember, what is ordinary for us, God can use in an extraordinary way. You just need to give that skill or talent to Him and see how He blesses and uses for His glory. Remember, everything we have belongs to Him. May this New Year be a year full of rich blessings to you and your family. May the Lord Jesus can use you in an extraordinary way in the church where you serve, in your community, in your work or wherever he place you, for His glory. God bless you and keep you always.

Entre la espada y la pared

Salmo 40:1-2

Pacientemente esperé a Jehová, y se inclinó a mí, y oyó mi clamor. Y me hizo sacar del pozo de la desesperación, del lodo cenagoso; Puso mis pies sobre pena y enderezo mis pasos.

Todos nosotros en algún momento en nuestras vidas no hemos sentido entre la espada y la pared. Son esos tiempos donde los problemas y situaciones difíciles de nuestras vidas son tan agobiantes que nos desesperamos buscando una solución. Es en esos momentos difíciles donde muchas veces nos preguntamos porque Dios permite estas situaciones en mi vida.

La Biblia nos asegura que Dios nunca nos abandona o nos deja solos. El está con nosotros cada paso y nos lleva en Sus brazos a través de cada una de nuestras dificultades. Dios, en ocasiones permite que sus hijos enfrenten momentos difíciles para hacernos crecer y madurar en nuestra fe. Es a través de estas experiencias que vemos Su grandeza y misericordia derramarse en nuestras vidas. Estas experiencias difíciles nos ayudan a profundizar nuestras raíces de fe. Es como un árbol, mientras más profundas son sus raíces, más fuerte es el árbol. Es fácil seguir a Dios cuando las cosas están bien. Pero es en esos tiempos difíciles, cuando nos encontramos entre la espada y la pared, donde aprendemos a confiar en Dios y crecemos en nuestro caminar con El. Es en esos tiempos  cuando nos encontramos caídos, donde tenemos la oportunidad de demostrar nuestra fidelidad a Él. Es en los tiempos difíciles donde aprendemos las cosas que no aprendemos en los tiempos de abundancia.

Tú escoges la actitud a seguir cuando vienen los tiempos difíciles. Puedes escoger el pánico y la desesperación o puedes escoger confiar en Dios. Puedes abandonarlo o puedes buscar más de Él. Tú escoges responder fielmente. La respuesta es tuya. Que Dios te bendiga y te guarde y que permita que estas palabras te ayuden a renovar tu espíritu.

Between a rock and a hard place
Psalm 40:1-2
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.  He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

There is a good chance that some time in your life you felt between a rock and a hard place. These are the times when the problems and difficult situations in your lives are so overwhelming that we are desperate for a solution. It is in these difficult times where many times we wonder why God allows these situations to occur.

The Bible assures us that God will never leave us or forsake us. He is with us every step of the way and He takes us in His arms through each of our difficulties. God sometimes allows His children to face hard times, to make us grow and mature in our faith. It is through these experiences that we see His greatness and mercy poured out in our lives. These difficult experiences help us to deepen our roots of faith. It's like a tree; deep roots make for strong tree. It's easy to follow God when everything is going well. But when times get tough, when we are between a rock and a hard place, that’s where we learn to trust God and grow in our walk with Him. It is in these times, when we are fallen, that we have the opportunity to show our faithfulness to Him. In the difficult times of life we learn things we could never learn in the times of abundance.

You must choose the attitude to follow for the difficult times. You can choose to panic and despair or you can choose to trust God. You can turn away from the Lord or turn toward the Lord. You will have to choose to respond in faithful confidence. The choice is yours. May God bless and keep you and allow these words to help you renew your spirit.

Fidelidad de Dios/God's Faithfulness

La Fidelidad de Dios

La Infantería de Marina de los Estados Unidos tiene un lema que dice: “Semper Fidelis”. Tal vez usted lo ha visto en las ventanas o parachoques de los automóviles. La palabra “Semper Fildelis” está compuesta de dos palabras latinas que significan, “Siempre Fiel”. Es realmente el código de conducta y el carácter de estos Marinos valientes que sirven en esta rama de las Fuerzas Armadas Norteamericanas. Es una descripción de lealtad, y una definición de sus vidas como Infantes de Marina. “Siempre Fiel” es el propósito y la dedicación de estos hombres y mujeres que llevan el título: Marinos.

La Escritura nos dice que Dios es un Dios que es “Siempre fiel”. La fidelidad de Dios va mano a mano con el carácter y la verdad de Dios. Cuando decimos que Dios es fiel, estamos diciendo que podemos depender en El. Dios es fiel cuando estamos en situaciones difíciles. Aun en medio del dolor, podemos contar con la fidelidad de Dios. El nunca nos abandona o nos deja solos. Su fidelidad hacia nosotros no cambia aunque las circunstancias alrededor nuestro digan lo contrario. Dios es fiel cuando sentimos que estamos a la deriva. Dios es fiel y el nos mantendrá firmes hasta el final. Nuestra fe puede flaquear, pero Dios se mantiene fiel hasta el final. Dios es fiel cuando enfrentamos tentación. El apóstol Pablo escribe en 1 Corintios 10:13: “Pero Dios es fiel, y no permitirá que ustedes sean tentados más allá de lo que puedan aguantar. Más bien cuando llegue la tentación, el les dará también una salida a fin de que puedan resistir”. Dios es fiel cuando fallamos. Juan nos dice que El es fiel y justo para perdonar nuestros pecados.

Dios es fiel a su carácter. La fidelidad de Dios significa que todo lo que El dice y hace es seguro. El es 100% seguro, 100% todo el tiempo. Que el Señor te bendiga y te guarde y que permita que estas palabras puedan renovar tu espíritu.

God’s Faithfulness

The United States Marine Corps has a slogan that says: "Semper Fidelis". Maybe you've seen the bumper stickers or window decals. The word "Semper Fildelis" is composed of two Latin words meaning "Always Faithful." It's really the code of conduct and character of these brave Marines serving in this branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. It is a description of loyalty, and a definition of their lives as Marines. "Always faithful" is the purpose and dedication of these men and women who carry the title: Marine.

The Scripture tells us that God is a God who is "Always Faithful". God’s faithfulness goes hand in hand with the character and the truth of God. When we say that God is faithful, we are saying that we can depend on Him. God is faithful when we are in difficult situations. Even in time of difficulties and pain, we can count on God's faithfulness. He never leaves us or forsakes us. His faithfulness to us does not change although the circumstances around us say otherwise. God is faithful when we feel that we are adrift. God is faithful and He will keep us strong until the end. Our faith can falter, but God remains faithful to the end. God is faithful when we face temptation. The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 10:13: "God is faithful, and not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Rather, when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. " God is faithful when we fail. John said that He is faithful and just to forgive our sins.

God is faithful to his character. God’s faithfulness means that everything that he says and does is certain. He is 100% reliable, 100% all the time. May the Lord bless you and keep you and allow these words to renew your spirit.

Soldados, no simpatizantes

Marcos 8:34

“El que quiera venir en pos de mi, niéguese a sí mismo, tome su cruz y sígame”.

Cuenta la historia que durante la guerra de Independencia de los Estados Unidos, un hombre joven se acerco al general George Washington y le dijo lo siguiente; “Mi general, quiero que sepa que creo con todo mi corazón en usted y en la causa que defiende”. El general Washington le agradeció firmemente aquellas palabras y le pregunto: “¿En que regimiento sirve usted? ¿Quién es su comandante? ¿Qué uniforme lleva?” “Oh no”, respondió el joven, “no estoy en el ejercito, soy solo un civil”. Al oír estas palabras, el general Washington le respondió; “Joven, si usted cree en mi como dice, y también en la causa que defiendo, vaya y únase al ejercito inmediatamente, póngase un nuestro uniforme, busque unas armas y venga conmigo a luchar”.[1]

Este es el mismo reto que nuestro Señor Jesucristo nos hace hoy. El no está interesado en simpatizantes, sino en soldados que estén listos para batallar las fuerzas del enemigo que esta sobre este mundo. Esta es la clase de llamamiento y servicio que el mundo necesita. Necesitamos dejar el orgullo a un lado, la timidez y el miedo y tomar la cruz de Cristo cada día y seguirle. El apóstol Pablo escribe: “Porque Dios no nos ha dado un espíritu de cobardía, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio” (2 Timoteo 1:7). Así que deja de ser un simpatizante de la causa de Dios, toma las armas del General de generales, nuestro Señor Jesucristo y defiende Su causa en este mundo. Su Espíritu está contigo para que batalles sin miedo y recuerda que ya tú eres parte del Ejercito del Señor.

Que el Señor te bendiga y te guarde y que permita que estas palabras te ayuden a renovar tu espíritu.

 The Story (Iglesia De La Comunidad Esperanza De Vida) 

Soldiers not sympathizers

Mark 8:34

“Whosoever will come after me must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me”.

The story goes that during the Independence War of the United States, a young man approached General George Washington and said the following; General, I want you to know that I believe with all my heart on you and the cause you defend”. General Washington thanks him for those words firmly and asked; “What regiment do you serve” Who is your commander? What uniform do you wear?” “Oh no”, replied the young man. “I am not in the army. I am a civilian.” General Washington replied; “Young man, if you believe in me as you said and in the cause that I defend, go and join the army immediately, put on our uniform, find some weapons and come with me to fight”.

This is the same challenge our Lord Jesus Christ is giving to all of us today. He is not interested in sympathizers, but for soldiers who are ready to battle the forces of the enemy the surround this world. This is the kind of call and service this world needs. We need to put aside pride, shyness, and fear and take the cross and follow Christ daily. The apostle Paul writes; “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self control” (2 Timothy 1:7). So, stop being a sympathizer of the cause of Christ, take up the weapons of the General of generals, our Lord Jesus Christ and defend His cause in this world. His Spirit is with you so you can battle without fear and remember that you are part of God’s army.

Jesús nuestra paz

Mateo 5:9

“Bienaventurados los que trabajan por la paz, porque ellos serán llamados hijos de Dios”.

La violencia en el mundo cada día crece más y más. No tenemos que ir muy lejos para entender que en el mundo de hoy no hay paz. La humanidad continuamente esta tratando de pelear con su prójimo. Envidia, amarguras, ira y odio, son algunas razones por las cuales hay tanta violencia en el día de hoy.

Hay personas que dicen que si eliminamos todos los armamentos de guerra, acabaríamos con la violencia. Otros dicen que si tenemos más control sobre las armas de fuego, esto acabaría con la violencia. El mundo esta lleno de tratados de paz y ceses de fuego los cuales tienen poco a ningún efecto. Ninguna de estas cosas ha solucionado el problema de violencia. El problema de violencia existe desde la creación del mundo, un poco tiempo después de la caída del hombre, cuando Caín mato a su hermano Abel. El problema va a lo mas profundo de nuestro ser. Es un problema del corazón. El hombre no tiene ninguna solución a este problema. Entonces, ¿Cómo podemos solucionar este problema?

No puede haber paz hasta que estemos en paz con aquel que nos creo. Nuestra paz tiene estar centralizada en la persona de Jesucristo. Solo el puede traer el cambio que nuestro corazón desesperadamente necesita. Solo El puede perdonar el pecado que nos separa de Dios. Solo Su paz puede traer verdadera paz, una paz que es duradera. Aceptando, recibiendo, confiando y creyendo en Jesús como Señor y Salvador de nuestras vidas es la única avenida para tener paz con Dios y con el resto el mundo. Paz es un regalo de Dios a través de Jesucristo.

Un trabajador de paz es uno que vive y comunica el mensaje de paz de Jesús. Es aquel que reconoce que paz no se encuentra en ningún otro lugar excepto en la persona de Jesucristo. Ora y da gracias a Dios por todo y la paz de Dios guardara tu corazón en Jesucristo. Que Dios te bendiga y te guarde y que permita que estas palabras te ayuden a renovar tu espíritu.

Jesus Our Peace

Matthew 5:9

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God”.

Violence in our world grows and grows every day. You do not have to go that far to realize that there is no peace in our world today. Man is continually striving against his fellow man. Anger, bitterness, envy and hatred are just a few of the reasons there are so much violence today.

There are some people who would eliminate the weapons of war as a solution to eliminate violence. Others argue that if we have more gun control, this too would eliminate violence. The world is full with peace treaties and ceases fires, which seem to have little or no effect. None of these are going to solve the problem of violence. After all, the problem goes back to the time of creation. Just after the fall when Cain murdered his brother Abel. The problem goes to the very core of our being. This is a problem of the human heart. Man has no solution to the problem of violence. The question is; how can we solve this problem?

There can be no peace until we are at peace with the One who created us. Our peace must be centered in the person of Jesus Christ. He can bring about a change of heart that we so desperately need. Only He can forgive the sins that separate us from God. Only His peace brings true peace that last everlasting. Accepting, receiving, trusting, or believing in Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the only avenue to peace with God and others. Peace is a gift of God thru Jesus Christ.

A peacemaker knows their peace comes from a loving, merciful, and forgiving God. A peacemaker is one that lives and communicates the message of peace in Jesus. A peacemaker knows that peace is not found anywhere else except in the person of Jesus Christ. Pray and give thanks to God and the peace of God will guard your heart in Jesus Christ. May God bless you and keep you and I hope these words will renew your spirit.
